The gap in airing times has created great controversy within the show’s growing US fan base. Case and point, last Season ended with the death of main character Matthew Crawley, played by Dan Stevens, and with social media, it was impossible not to come across the headline.
The episode aired in the UK on Christmas Day and it wasn’t until February that it was seen in the US, but by that time many already knew what had happened to the beloved character.
Kerger told reporters at Tuesday’s Television Critics Association press tour that the current model of airing Downton will continue for the foreseeable future.
The PBS head said that they have reviewed the issue of spoilers and how to best handle it. Kerger added that they look carefully at the competition in the fall schedule with that in mind.
The network also looks at how Downton Abbey gets promotion and buzz about it and that word of mouth has actually benefited PBS, she commented.
“We don’t want to mess with that if it’s working so well.”
Kerger says the network looks at each program differently. With Call The Midwife, another successful miniseries, PBS aired a December episode a few weeks after the UK did and according to her it didn’t do so well.
Of the controversy regarding the way Downton’s Season 3 ended, Kerger says that “it is what it is” and it opens opportunities for the show to grow.
Obviously Ms. Kerger is not too concerned about how fans feel and she said jokingly that if people have complaints they should direct them to series writer Julian Fellowes.

The best news in the previous seasons is that Brennan’s pregnant. On the other hand, the setup from last season’s cliffhanger made for a much funny first episode back and set up what seems like will be a fascinating season of crime fighting and juridical anthropology. When we left off in the mechanical spring, Brennan has been framed for murder by a computer genius killer with a truly creepy smile by the name of Christopher Pelant. She has just gone on the run with her father and Booth’s daughter, Christine. Booth is left behind so that he could continue attempting to catch Pelant and avoid becoming a conspirator.
It is certainly that given Booth’s over-protective nature, this is not by choice. Brennan decided to run off without him. I’m assuming she brought Christine with her rather than leave her in Booth’s care because being on the run is somehow safer. Brennan is in some kind of mysterious contact with Angela involving flowers left at undisclosed locations to let her know all is well. When Hodgins discovers that they are communicating in flower-code her is stoked. She and her father are also looking into Pelant’s past which is how they find out this week’s disgusting dead body. It is said that the relationship between Brennan and Booth will have a little change and both of them will face to make a decision for their future!
The strabismus are investigating a dead body in the woods and when Angela discovers a flower message from Brennan, she realizes that the body is somehow connected to Pelant. As it turns out, a counselor at Pelant’s high school go missing and Brennan figured out where the body is thanks to science and being a genius. Bones Season 8 is been revealed for a period of time and now you can continue to watch it again!
Caroline and Sweets have been pushed aside thanks to some hacker handiwork from our scoundrel making it look like Caroline is taking bribery. Then fortunately, Angela pulls off her own hacker-magic and does manage to prove that she is inculpable, although she can’t trace back to Pelant.
